I love Psalm 40:3 - it follows another favorite, 40:2.  I love birds as well.  This was a fun painting, and I will be painting more birds soon.  Sometimes I put the bible verse on my canvas.  Sometimes I don't, hoping the viewer may look up the verse and then ones after that, too.  Any time spent in the bible is time well spent :) 
 
Our art prints are adhered to an 8x10 wood panel, varnished, and ready to hang.  The edges are painted black.  They are approx. 1" deep.
